My name is Jonatan Akira, and I’m an ARDENS missionary!

After serving in mission work across Sweden, the Lord called me to spend a year as a FOCUS missionary in Digital Outreach across Europe. Now, in my second year with ARDENS, I’ll be serving on campus in Vienna while continuing digital outreach to Scandinavia.

A few years ago, I was searching for meaning in all the wrong places, trying to fill an emptiness nothing could satisfy. But through a memory of the Gospel my father once shared, God began drawing me back. On September 25, 2021, I felt called to go to Mass, and there I encountered Christ in a completely new way.

Later, while praying on a mountain in France, I felt God calling me to serve where the Church needs me most. That calling led me to FOCUS and now ARDENS, sharing Christ and his Gospel across Europe.
