Katie Ibarra

I grew up in New Orleans, LA and attended LSU for college where I more deeply encountered Christ and the desire to evangelize in His Church. I decided to become a FOCUS Missionary and served as a missionary on college campuses in Auburn and North Carolina. I then served on staff with a ministry called ECHO Community, helping to evangelize through the teaching of St. John Paul II's Theology of the Body. During this time I completed my masters in Theology and then decided to pursue a career in education. I taught in Catholic Schools for many years and realized the need for young people to be formed in prayer and to have mentors to walk with them in the spiritual life. In 2021 I started a 2-year spiritual director training program that FOCUS provided, and have been offering direction to young people since then. I am looking to raise funds in order to rent an office to offer direction as well as being able to offer direction free of charge to those who are wanting to pursue direction with me and grow in their relationship with God through prayer. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. I am passionate about relational ministry and meeting people in the beautiful mess of their lives. I would love to journey with you in that mission!
